Pakistan Earthquake Kills at Least 20

Magnitude 6.5 Earthquake Strikes Eastern Pakistan

Multiple Buildings Collapse

A 6.5-magnitude earthquake has struck eastern Pakistan, killing at least 20 people and injuring over 100. The quake struck about 100 kilometers northeast of Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province, in the early hours of Thursday morning.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the earthquake had a depth of 15 kilometers. Multiple buildings have collapsed in Quetta and surrounding areas, and rescue workers are currently searching for survivors.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed his condolences to the victims and their families. He has also directed the National Disaster Management Authority to provide immediate relief to the affected areas.
