Kelsey Mitchell: WNBA Star and Track Cycling Superstar

Early Life and Basketball Career

Kelsey Mitchell was born on November 12, 1995, in Cincinnati, Ohio. She began playing basketball at a young age, quickly establishing herself as a standout player. Mitchell attended Ohio State University, where she led the Buckeyes to the Final Four in 2018.

WNBA Career

After graduating from Ohio State, Mitchell was drafted second overall by the Indiana Fever. She has since become one of the top players in the WNBA, averaging over 15 points per game. Mitchell has helped lead the Fever to several playoff appearances and earned multiple All-Star selections.

Track Cycling Success

In addition to her basketball career, Mitchell is also an accomplished track cyclist. She began cycling seriously in 2016 and quickly rose through the ranks. Within two years, she had set a world record in the 500-meter time trial and won a gold medal at the Pan American Games.

Olympic Champion

Mitchell represented Canada at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and won the gold medal in the sprint. Her victory marked a historic moment for Canada, as it was the country's first gold medal in track cycling since 1908.
