Watkins Glen joins Daytona and Talladega on list of historic tracks to host ARCA race in 2024

The ARCA Menards Series will make its long-awaited return to one of NASCAR's most historic road courses in 2024.

Watkins Glen International will host the penultimate race of the 2024 ARCA Menards Series season on Saturday, Aug. 24, track officials announced Wednesday.

The 20-race ARCA Menards Series schedule for 2024 was released earlier this month, but Watkins Glen's inclusion was not among the tracks on the initial release.

The addition of Watkins Glen gives the ARCA Menards Series three road-course races on its 2024 schedule, along with Daytona International Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway.

Watkins Glen has hosted NASCAR Cup Series races since 1957 and has been a staple on the NASCAR Xfinity Series schedule since 2005.

The ARCA Menards Series last raced at Watkins Glen in 2017, when Gus Dean won the 75-lap event.

The ARCA Menards Series race at Watkins Glen will be part of a weekend of racing that also includes the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series.

Tickets for the ARCA Menards Series race at Watkins Glen will go on sale later this year.
