Jiménez excited to face old friends

Orioles designated hitter Eloy Jiménez is cherishing the opportunity to reunite with his former White Sox teammates when the two teams face off in a three-game series this weekend.

Jiménez was traded to the Orioles from the White Sox in a blockbuster deal in January, but he still has fond memories of his time in Chicago.

"It's going to be a lot of fun to face my old teammates," Jiménez said. "I still talk to a lot of them. We're all still really close."

Jiménez is expecting a warm welcome from the White Sox fans, even though he's now playing for their rivals.

"It's cool to see the fans and how they're going to react," Jiménez said. "I'm sure they're going to be cheering for me, but they're also going to be cheering for the White Sox.

Jiménez is hoping to make a good impression on his former team.

"I want to show them what I can do," he said. "I want to show them that I'm a better player than when I left."
