Franklin Templeton India Launches First Fixed-Income Fund Since Fund Closure

New Fund Offer of Franklin India Ultra Short Duration Fund Opens on August 19

Fund to be Co-Managed by Rahul Gandhi and Santosh Kamath

Franklin Templeton India, a leading asset management company, has announced the launch of its first fixed-income fund since the winding up of six debt schemes in 2018. The new fund, named Franklin India Ultra Short Duration Fund (FIUSDF), will invest in a portfolio of short-term debt instruments with a maturity of less than one year.

The fund will be co-managed by Rahul Gandhi, Senior Fund Manager for Fixed Income, and Santosh Kamath, Chief Investment Officer for Fixed Income. Gandhi has over 18 years of experience in the financial services industry, while Kamath has over 25 years of experience in fixed income investing.

The new fund offer (NFO) of FIUSDF will open on August 19 and close on August 25. The minimum investment amount is Rs. 5,000 and investors can choose to invest through regular or direct plans.
